Text Box: The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) was reauthorized in the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (Farm Bill) to provide a voluntary conservation program for farmers and ranchers that promotes agricultural production and environmental quality as compatible national goals.
Text Box: The Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) is a voluntary program for people who want to develop and improve wildlife habitat primarily on private land.

The Forage Improvement Program will serve landowners by adding lime and fertilizer, as well as renovating pasture and hayland.

The Kentucky Soil Erosion and Water Quality Cost Share Program and the Kentucky Soil Stewardship Program-Phase I TSA were created to help agricultural operations protect the soil and water resources of Kentucky and to implement their agriculture water quality plans.

The Forestry Incentives Program (FIP) supports good forest management practices on privately owned, non-industrial forest lands nationwide.

Beef Cattle Handling Facilities Program

Cost share funds are administered to improve net farm income of livestock producers through improved cattle handling facilities and to promote efficient management of livestock and animal health.
