EXCELLENT seven day set made about 1870 by Lombard in England.  They have elephant ivory handles  with " Best Silver Steel" on the blades and Hollow Ground. The ivory is perfect without any cracks or chips. The blades have some spotting on a few of them which is normal for that age. The box has the lid detached but the box is in excellent condition. The reason these sets are so rare is that these 7 day sets were made for wealthy men because they were very expensive to buy and the normal straight razor shaver would have to settle for one straight razor that would have to be sharpened and honed more often. Usually a wealthy 7 day set owner would have his straight razors sharpened by a barber for the owner's convenience.
