                  to actual field construction.

               •    Delivered staff relief for mental health facilities, hospitals, physical rehabilitation
                  centers, and long-term care centers (41 total), selected as the initial assessment
                  staffer in most new contract locations.
               •    Received numerous letters of commendation from clients, and five employee of the
                  month awards.

Rick’s TV & Electronics (1982-1986)
          OWNER - Oneco, Florida
      •   Established and operated an independent retail audio/video repair and sales shop.
      •   Delivered extensive local new product warranty service for several major brand
          manufacturers.

South Florida Museum/Bishop Space Transit Planetarium (1974-1979)
          Operational Staff, Chief Technician - Bradenton, Florida
      •   Primary responsibilities were within this major planetarium for the production and
         presentation of educational programs, and the maintenance of planetarium
         equipment valued at $4.8M.
      •   Upon several occasions I served as acting technical director and facility director pro-
         tem during administrative transitions.

Additional Work Experiences

          In addition to the noted entries, I have been employed in a broad range of part-time and
     second-job experiences.  These include construction, food and beverage service,
     commercial fishing, marine salvage, cabinetry, photography, quality control, retail sales,
     computer repair, and consulting work.  Experiences such as these have given me a deep
     understanding of business structures, and also of individuals with varied backgrounds.  This
     richness of experience manifests itself in my approach to work, and management style.

          Founding Member: Board of Directors; Executive Director
          Educational non-profit specializing in low/moderate income homebuyer training and
          counseling for Kentucky Housing Corporation.

Florida

Mayor’s Drug Free Communities (1992-1994)
          Community Organizer: North County Neighborhood Action Team (Anna Gayle Educational
          Center; U.S. Attorney General’s Weed & Seed Demonstration Project; Interfaith Task Force.

Mt. Raymond Missionary Baptist Church (1992-1994)
          Staff Minister - Outreach Ministry/CADA (Christians Against Dangerous Addictions) -
         Co-creator/facilitator for a Christian based 12 step recovery program. Drug Abuse and
         Prevention counseling specialist.  Governmental/Community Liaison.

MAD DADS of Manatee, Inc. (1993-1994)
          Founding Member: Board of Directors; Executive Secretary, Program Director.
          Grassroots youth mentoring, opportunity and street-level drug interdiction non-profit for
         African-American and Hispanic youth (in cooperation with the Manatee County Sheriff’s

Personal

I am married, and reside in Lincoln County, Kentucky.   I have one daughter who has recently
graduated Berea College. My leisure pursuits include photography, the arts, creative and
professional writing. I am extremely well versed in  hardware and practical office computer
applications (including networks).  I enjoy a reputation as a competent and dynamic public speaker,
and look forward to opportunities to engage in this area for the purpose of community and special
interest education.
